Where can I see a van by Studio Vans?

There are three ways that you can view our vans…

1) Pop by our StudioLab, the centre of all Studio Vans activity, located on the Isle of Benbecula where we’ll make you a coffee and show you around. 

2) We’re all for saving miles and can do a good virtual coffee from one of our vans. 

3) We also get around and may be passing near you from time to time.  If you let us know, we may be able to schedule a stop to say hello. 

Where are Studio Vans made?

Studio Vans Founder Series vans are designed, constructed and installed at StudioLab on the isle of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides.

How can I get Involved?

We are always looking for people to collaborate with included talented makers and creators, so if that sounds like you please do get in contact. How do I get my van fitout by Studio Vans?

If you want to be in this series, enquire now. Otherwise, sign up for our seasonal updates (using the box at the bottom of this page) and you’ll be the first to know when the next round launches.

What make/model of van does Studio Vans work on?

Our Studio System integrates with the majority of popular makes and models. The Founder Series allows for some more flexibility regarding the type of van converted. Basically, we’ve probably got you covered.

What makes the Founder Series unique?

The Founder series is our launch series which unveils our team’s creativity on a select number of vans while we continue building our unique ecosystem. By joining this series, you are getting in early so you can be hitting the road and experiencing the Studio Vans way of doing things ahead of the game.

How can I get a Founder Series van?

We are now taking deposits for the Founder Series vans, check out the Founder Series page for more info.

What is the lead time for my Founder Series van?

After your deposit is placed and materials bought we aim to have completed all founder series vans by spring 2022.

How much does a Founder Series van cost?

The base price for entire conversion of founder series vans is £24,000 (including VAT). We'll provide a VAT invoice.

What is Van Chat?

Van Chat is a monthly open studio at our StudioLab, 4 Eabhal Business Park, Airport Rd, Isle of Benbecula where all are welcome to pop by for a coffee and discuss all things van based.   

We’re more than happy to hear about your own DIY conversions or things you have discovered while on the road.

I don’t have a fitout by Studio Vans, but my shelves are making a squeaking noise when I drive over rough terrain, can VanChat Help?

Yes, VanChat is all about creating a better living space within your van… our StudioSystem can make a bumpy road virtually silent and we are happy to chat through these principals to help you sort any issues. We want to help create better experiences whether you have a fitout by us or someone else.

My van is making a clunking noise when I turn the steering wheel, can Van Chat help?

If the clunking is coming from pots and pans rolling around the floor due to poorly fitted cupboard doors… then Yes! If it is a mechanical issue then we recommend taking your van to your local mechanic instead.

We are always looking for people to collaborate with - pop-by our Studio Lab or Contact us.

I am a maker/artist/designer… How can we do a Studio CoLab?

We will listen to everyone’s ideas.  We want to create better experiences and connections while people travel, and we operate in a way that does no unnecessary harm (environment and social).  If this sounds like we can create new value together, please get in touch.  

So far, we count ceramics, recycled plastics, wave power, coffee and new battery technology among our collaboration projects.  Some remain top secret…for now!
